What happens when a check fails
- A nightly link test that fails runs once more. If it passes then, this page says "passed on the second try", never just "passed".
- Any other failure, or a second one, comes to us as a problem to fix. We fix the cause, not the check.
- A change that fails the update check reaches us within minutes. We fix it or put the last good version back by hand.
- A failure stays on this page for 30 days, with how long it took to fix. A page that only ever shows green isn't believable.
